of a childhood summer

Gazing at a million

twinkling dreams

Spanning from horizon

to horizon

Wondering at a universe

 wrong side up.

To always run into
One or the other
Along the way
Until you become
Your sole companion
And your only destination.

I lock myself in

and lean a heavy wall of fear
