About Me

I am Sujatha Warrier. A writer, editor and researcher by profession, and a poet and translator by passion. A Master of Commerce and a post-graduate diploma holder in Journalism. A wordsmith working in the print and online media, and the advertising, branding and communication industry since 1986.

Contributor of articles and poems to magazines, portals, literary journals and anthologies. Author of The Attic & Other Poems, a collaborative work, which is a collection of poems illustrated by my daughter Bharati Varrier. Author of Fireflies, a collection of micropoems. Author of One More Line and Other Poems, a collection of topical poems. Translator of Pranayam - Limited Version / Love - Limited Version, an e-book of poems in Malayalam by Jayasree T. along with their translation, with photographs. Creator of Ullum Puravum, a bilingual (Malayalam and English) blog to share the writings of my father K. K. Variar.

At work, if not writing, I am reading. When not at work, if not reading, I am trying to write. In other words, I spend most of my waking hours gorging on words. So, as the blog title suggests, I am kind of overdosing on words. This blog is just a natural outcome of this overdose - a spill-out.
